We are an internationally recognized, Emmy Award®-winning studio – in two prominent Canadian cities, Vancouver and Montreal – and the creative force behind top audience hits such as The Dragon Prince, Rick and Morty, Teen Titans Go!, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
We require a detailed-oriented and creative Assistant Editor to support our editorial team. You will assist in organizing and preparing elements for the lead editors, while maintaining an efficient and organized editing workflow.

  • Assemble and maintain the edit of each episode, incorporating storyboards, layout, animation, sound, and final renders.
  • Work closely with directors and producers to create animatics and episode cuts.
  • Sync dialogue, sound effects, and other audio elements.
  • Ensure technical accuracy and editorial continuity throughout the pipeline.
  • Handle versioning and delivery of edits for internal reviews, client presentations, and final broadcast.
  • Manage editorial databases and tracking systems, ensuring up-to-date records of shots, audio and timing changes.

Collaboration & Workflow

  • Collaborate with production coordinators and other departments to maintain schedules and update edits as feedback is received.
  • Collaborate closely with the director to assemble animatics and define pacing, shot structure, and emotional timing based on storyboards.
  • Liaise with the post-production team to prepare locked edits for color correction, final audio mix, and broadcast or platform delivery, ensuring technical specifications are met.
  • Allow seamless updates and communication with the entire team through Shotgrid.

Time Management & Communication

  • Maintain consistency in quality while meeting production needs.
  • Manage time effectively, working with production to stay on schedule.
  • Keep the team and production staff informed about progress, challenges, and solutions.
