Job Title: Editor (Video & Photo) Position Type: Full-Time Working Hours: US Hours About Pavago At Pavago, we are hiring for one of our clients an experienced Editor who can take full ownership of both video and photo editing workflows from start to finish. This role is critical to ensuring high-quality visual content that aligns with brand identity and project goals. The ideal candidate will bring creative expertise, technical precision, and strong organizational skills to deliver polished, engaging, and on-time content. Responsibilities Video Editing & Production Assemble raw footage into cohesive video content, including trimming, sequencing, transitions, and syncing audio using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. Apply effects, titles, animations, captions, and motion graphics to enhance viewer engagement. Perform color grading, audio balancing, and finishing touches for professional-quality outputs. Photo Editing & Retouching Retouch, enhance, and optimize images for branded, marketing, and digital distribution using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. Ensure all imagery is consistent with brand standards and campaign goals. Creative Alignment & Feedback Review project briefs, scripts, and recorded meetings to ensure alignment with creative direction. Collaborate with project managers, creative leads, and clients for feedback and revisions using Trello/Asana for task management. File Management & Organization Maintain strict file naming conventions and folder structures. Back up, archive, and manage files across Google Drive and a local 4TB hard drive. Continuous Improvement Stay updated on editing trends, tools, and best practices to deliver cutting-edge content. Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and quality. Required Experience & Skills Minimum 5 years of professional editing experience with a strong portfolio of video and photo projects. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom). Solid understanding of color grading, sound synchronization, and motion graphics. Expertise in photo retouching and image optimization for marketing and digital use. Experience with Trello/Asana or other project management tools. Excellent organizational skills for managing large file systems. Access to high-speed internet, licensed Adobe Creative Suite, and a dedicated 4TB hard drive. Ability to work in Eastern Standard Time (or with significant overlap). What Does a Typical Day Look Like? A typical day in this role begins with reviewing project briefs, client notes, or recorded meetings to clarify direction before diving into editing tasks. You’ll spend time assembling and refining video footage, syncing audio, adding transitions, and applying color grading to create visually compelling results. In parallel, you may retouch photos for campaigns or digital platforms, ensuring they align with brand standards. Throughout the day, you’ll collaborate with creative leads and project managers via Trello or Asana to receive and implement feedback. To close out, you’ll carefully back up and archive files in Google Drive and on the local 4TB hard drive while maintaining strict file organization.
