What You’ll Be Doing Set the Vision: Define and execute an ambitious video and audio strategy across our national and regional portfolio, including iconic titles such as the Mirror, Daily Express, Daily Star, and Manchester Evening News. Own Social Video Leadership: Drive platform-native storytelling across Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and Instagram — ensuring our journalism shows up where audiences live and adds value in every moment. Create Must-Watch Formats: Conceptualise, pilot, and scale original, high-impact video formats designed for YouTube and social platforms, building loyal communities and distinctive brand identities across the UK and Ireland. Grow Subscriptions: Partner with Product and Subscription teams to develop premium video and audio propositions that deepen loyalty, reduce churn, and strengthen value exchange with registered users. Unlock Commercial Value: Work closely with commercial and advertising teams to develop sellable video IP and branded content that attracts blue-chip advertisers without compromising editorial integrity. Lead at Scale: Manage a multi-million-pound budget and inspire a diverse, high-performing team of producers, editors, and creators — fostering a culture of innovation, speed, and exceptional editorial standards.
