JOB SUMMARY

As a Production Control Analyst, you will provide technical and administrative services in the processing of all jobs submitted to the Production Control area in a timely and effective manner. This position will monitor CA-7 enterprise job flow, update and modify production job schedules, verify ARF and VRM requirements on jobs, provide first level CA-7 Web Client support for cross platform scheduling, and enforce security procedures for access to the Production Control area.
This position is on the Night shift from 11 pm - 7 am, Tuesday - Saturday.

This position requires an employee to be onsite at 600 Robert Street N., St. Paul, Minnesota at least 50% of the time, with some opportunity to perform work from a telework location.

  • Telework for Minnesota IT Services is available on a limited basis.
  • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the work address listed above are eligible for telework.
  • Candidates residing 50 miles or more in Minnesota from the work address listed above may be eligible to telework more than 50%. Finalist requires an additional review prior to telework approval.
  • Candidates residing 50 miles or more from the work address in a state bordering Minnesota (Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, or Wisconsin) are not eligible to be hired, unless planning to relocate within 50 miles of the work location in Minnesota or more than 50 miles in Minnesota.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must clearly demonstrate all of the following qualifications in their resume. Resume tips here.:

  • An in-depth knowledge of CA-7 and Report Distribution Systems (RDS), Production Control commands and functions.
  • In-depth knowledge of IBM Job Control Language (JCL).
  • Working knowledge of TSO/ISPF.
  • Working knowledge of Applications Manager (APPWORX).
  • Knowledge of mainframe operator functions.
  • Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties.
  • Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Automatic Workload Automation Application Manager (Appworx) scheduling package
  • Ability to work under the pressure of uneven workflows, job stream schedules, and hardware downtime
  • Ability to resolve complex technical problems and make on-the-spot decisions
