Description
Collaborate with system and components design and release engineers from cross-functional teams to complete design verification test plans. Conduct physical dyno and vehicle testing onsite and 3rd party facilities. Collaborate with systems engineering teams on application requirements, test plans, results and root cause analysis with Re-DV for the Power Unit system. Lead teardown and sign-off for durability test completion and failure investigation from dyno testing, coordinating with systems and component engineering teams. Develop and conduct warranty investigation testing in vehicles, dyno and other locations. Investigative automotive root causes, via testing and data gathering and post processing. Practice continual process improvement through our test methods, requirements and FMA workstreams. Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or related field 5+ years in Systems Engineering preferably in EV or HEV systems (Hybrid Electrical Vehicle), some of which includes testing and development work Experience with vehicle or dyno development work preferred. Excellent teamwork and communication skills Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks Confidence in ability to summarize test plan and results appropriately for the audience. Experience with FMA approach, testing and development preferred. Working knowledge of ATI Vision, Matlab and Minitab useful. MBSE (Model based system engineering - i.e. magic draw M.S. in engineering or similar degree. Knowledge of systems engineering principles Basic understanding of electrified powertrain system function and attributes at the subsystem and vehicle levels desired but not required. Strong GPDS (Global Product Development System) knowledge. Proactive, self-starter that can handle multiple assignments at a time. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, self-motivated to deliver results with minimal direction. Desire to lead cross-functional working teams. Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent writing, speaking, interpersonal skills and presentation.
