In this role, you’ll lead the Tri-Borough Emergency Duty Service – our out-of-hours social care provision for adults. Every shift brings something new, and you’ll be right at the centre of it all: supporting the team, managing risks, and making sure decisions are rooted in care, competence and compliance with the law.
You’ll manage a skilled team of AMHPs/Social Workers and Triage officers who handle complex, urgent cases. That includes leading regular handovers, overseeing safeguarding referrals, managing rotas and stepping in on the central AMHP rota once a month. You’ll also represent the service in key multi-agency forums, building strong relationships with the police, NHS and other partners.
Alongside the day-to-day, you’ll lead on service improvement, work collaboratively with our partners and stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery across the Boroughs and support the Service Manager on project work – including supporting a major service review. You’ll take responsibility for performance monitoring, audits, and budget management, making sure we maintain high standards across the board.
