Description

The Education team at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity supports the learning and development of our staff, as well as working with external partners to provide bespoke training and student placements. They also provide specialist library and knowledge services and access to learning and research knowledge.
We have an opportunity to join us as an Education Administrator, this is a part time role working 22.5 hours per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, working from our Hospice in Cambridge.
This role will work as part of the Education Team to support with education and learning activities across the hospice, as well as supporting with the promotion and running of external events / training which take place within the Education Centre.

Main duties will include:

  • Planning and administration tasks relating to training and development activities and courses
  • Co-ordinating internal and external events, including venue hire of our Education rooms
  • Assisting staff with queries relating to training and keeping staff mandatory training guides up to date
  • Acting as the first point of contract to visitors to the education centre and for telephone enquiries to the department
  • Supporting events in the education centre, including planning tasks (arranging catering, room layout requests) as well as issuing training certificates
  • Processing course registrations and bookings for study days, including using online booking systems.

To be successful within this role candidates must have a good level of education, as well experience of interacting with people that demonstrates ability to work in a customer service role. A knowledge of administration process is desirable, along with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
Due to the nature of this role there may be occasions where the postholder will be required to work outside of normal working hours to support education events, this may include evenings and weekends. Any instances will be agreed in advance, and we have a TOIL system in place to manage any extra hours worked.
