Education AdvisorsMultiple Positions- Statewide We are looking to fill openings in the following programs and locations: Talent Search @ Burncoat High School, Worcester: Full Time, 10-month positionGEAR UP @ North High School, Worcester: Full Time, 11-month positions Educational Opportunity Centers (EOC): Full Time, 12-month positions: Greater Boston Area Greater Springfield Area Greater Worcester Area Essential Functions for ALL positions: Identifies and recruits clients who fit the eligibility criteria for participation.
Assists clients with post-secondary admissions, financial literacy, financial aid, and career advising. Facilitates other academic and support services for clients as needed. Assist clients on completing FAFSA and CSS Profiles.Completes all client files and/or electronic records required for reporting purposes. Develops and conducts post-secondary education access workshops.
Keeps current with regulations and trends related to post-secondary education access for diverse populations. Represents MassEdCO to the greater community. Understands and demonstrates support for the mission, vision, and goals of MassEdCO. Undertakes specific tasks assigned by the site director and /or project director to enhance the overall effective operations.
Other duties as assigned.Additional Functions for Talent Search: In partnership with the Director, update programming to include new academic workshops that promote student success; coordinate college visits, virtual/in-person info sessions, and career speaker events aligned with student interests.Maintain consistent communication with students, parents/guardians, and school staff regarding program activities, including workshops, field trips, and virtual events.Build and sustain collaborative relationships with school personnel, including guidance counselors, administrators, teachers, and support staff.Additional Functions for GEAR UP: Coordinates summer programming activities including college tours and college and career readiness activities, fairs and workshops.Assists with occasional after-school events, including student graduations, Know Your School Nights, and Open HousesInterested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume to: Recruitment@MassEdCO.org.
