Description Under the guidance and supervision of the Program Director, the Education Coach will focus on supporting the development of early childhood education staff, classroom and nurturing room environments, and services to children and families in accordance with the Head Start performance standards. This position may require home visits which may be in homes with animals or other allergens. Assesses all education staff to identify strengths, areas of needed support, and which staff would benefit most from intensive coaching. Provides opportunities for intensive coaching to those education staff identified through the aforementioned process, including opportunities to be observed and receive feedback and modeling of effective teacher practices directly related to program performance goals. Maintains ongoing communication with the Program Director, Education Coordinator and Center Director Assists in the development and distribution of early childhood resources. Participates in curriculum development and training opportunities to enhance the learning environment for young children. Works collaboratively with the Head Start management team to support and enhance an integrated services approach to all Head Start children. Provides input into education staff competency assessments Participates in other assignments deemed necessary for the successful operation of the Early Childhood Program. Requirements Requirements: BA/BS in related field. Excellent communication, computer and interpersonal skills. Valid NYS Driver’s license required.
Responsibilities
