SUMMARY OF DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide domestic and sexual violence prevention education, training, consulting and resources within the community to address harmful social norms that lead to violence and oppression. To seek, establish, and maintain relationships with community members in Tulsa County and share pertinent agency services. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for reflecting on how parts of your identity might give you advantages in the workplace—even if you didn’t ask for them or earn them—while others might experience disadvantages. Adherence to all federal and state regulations regarding client services, specifically avoiding inappropriate conduct and strictly maintaining client confidentiality. Maintain a high level of professional and ethical conduct towards clients, staff and the community. Maintain and promote a philosophy of customer service consistent with the goals of DVIS. Be sensitive to client service issues and flexible enough to respond to the needs of individual clients. Responsible for developing and editing trauma-informed, theory-driven agency presentations, curricula and supporting materials including handouts, flyers, outlines, etc. using prevention best practices and teaching methods within the field of violence prevention. Responsible for, but not limited to, providing trainings about sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, human trafficking and stalking as needed. Providing prevention trainings such as healthy relationships, gender stereotypes, bystander intervention, consent, etc. to secondary schools and colleges, school administration, teachers, counselors, parents, social service agencies, health care providers, local businesses, churches, community organizations and support groups, etc. Responsible for the collection and dissemination of statistical reports and evaluation materials from every presentation including satisfaction surveys. Responsible for creating and providing training for new employees and volunteers on an as-needed basis. Responsible for assisting with the coordination of the Youth Advisory Council (YAC). Responsible for assisting the Volunteer Coordinator with volunteer trainings and the DVIS Speaker’s Bureau: ----Train Speaker’s Bureau volunteers. ----Volunteer orientation trainings. ----Assists with presentation preparation as needed. ----Ensure volunteers have demographic sheets and surveys for data collection. Responsible for actively promoting the agency and its services, volunteer opportunities through public appearances and speaking engagements. Responsible for participating in United Way promotions through presentations and facility tours. Responsible for ordering and organizing agency educational materials and videos as needed. Responsible for researching current news stories, trends, peer reviewed articles and reports related to education, prevention or intervention of domestic violence, sexual violence, oppression, stalking and human trafficking Send these articles to employees as needed. Attend educational trainings and seminars on an as-needed basis. Attend All-Staff meetings and departmental meetings as required. Ability to work individually and in a team setting. Ability to maintain high levels of organization, prioritization and scheduling. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience required with at least one year of experience in the education or training field by delivering speeches, public addresses, and/or providing seminars, preferably in a school setting. Experience in working for social change helpful. Ability to handle a flexible schedule involving weekend or after-hours meetings, presentations, and training sessions. Ability to work cooperatively in a team setting. Oral and written communication skills as demonstrated in published articles, pamphlets, workbooks, and manuals as well as experience in public speaking. PowerPoint skills and experience necessary. Transportation, a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and insurance verification required. In order to protect our clients, employees and other vulnerable populations in our community, DVIS requires employees receive the COVID-19 vaccines. Some exceptions may be made for health reasons, sincerely held religious beliefs or historical trauma. Exception requests should be made in writing if you receive a conditional offer of employment.
