About the role An exciting opportunity to join our Mater Education team as the Education Coordinator for our Perioperative & Procedural Services is now available. This role is being offered in a full-time capacity on a maximum term basis for 12 months from Aug 2026 to August 2027. As an education and clinical expert, you will work collaboratively within and across education and clinical teams to build interprofessional workforce capacity, capability, and competence. We deliver evidence-based education and support clinicians to apply it in practice, achieving educational and clinical excellence while consistently providing safe, reliable, high-quality patient care and exceptional experiences. Salary range: $68.86 - $74.76 per hour plus superannuation [https://www.ato.gov.au/tax-rates-and-codes/key-superannuation-rates-and-thresholds/super-guarantee] and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 [https://account.smartsalary.com.au/benefits-available?ercode=MML]  + access to many staff benefits!  [https://www.mater.org.au/group/careers/working-with-mater] What you’ll be doing As the leader of a dedicated education team assigned to Perioperative & Procedural Services, the Education Coordinator will plan, develop, deliver and evaluate education activities and resources to meet current and emergent Mater staff and community learning needs to improve health literacy and outcomes.  Key responsibilities include: * Developing interprofessional teams to work to top of scope * Partnering with consumers to improve clinical training and workforce development through the delivery of education programs focused on the patient/family * Managing and leading a team of Clinical Facilitators to operationalise Mater’s and Mater Education’s Strategic and Operational plans within your portfolio areas in collaboration with other key stakeholders About you To be considered for this position it is essential that you possess: * Current and unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Professional Registration Authority (AHPRA) * Postgraduate qualification (preferably Master Degree) in teaching (clinical teaching) or education equivalent * Postgraduate qualification in Perioperative & Procedural Services or working towards same * Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (current) * Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Perioperative & Procedural Services * Minimum of three (3) years in a clinically based education role Why join us?
