Job Details Job Location: Ivy Street - BROOKLINE, MA 02446 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School/HiSet/GED Salary Range: $21.63 - $21.63 Hourly Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Day Make a Difference—Every Day Ivy Street School is a small, year-round, private residential special education school serving neurodiverse adolescents ages 13–22. As part of MAB Community Services, we are committed to equity, inclusion, and helping young people build the skills they need for independence and adulthood. We are seeking Education Counselors who are creative, compassionate, and motivated to support students in a therapeutic, student-centered learning environment. What You’ll Do: Support classroom instruction alongside Special Education Teachers Provide one-on-one and small-group support aligned with student IEP goals Use trauma-informed and positive behavior approaches (ARC, PBIS, CPI) Help students build academic, social-emotional, and life skills Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including therapists and nurses Lead group activities, electives, and community-based trips Support morning routines and residential programming as needed Complete basic documentation and participate in team meetings Why Ivy Street School? $21.63/hour with full-time stability, Monday-Friday 7:30am-3:30pm Supportive, mission-driven team culture Ongoing training and mentorship Meaningful work with real impact on students’ lives Qualifications What We’re Looking For High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred Experience working with youth or individuals with disabilities is a plus Strong communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills Interest in education, human services, psychology, or special education Willingness to learn and grow in a therapeutic school setting Requirements CPR/First Aid certification (training provided) Background check, drug, and alcohol screening Valid driver’s license preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced, active environment Some holiday shifts required
