Reporting to the Associate Director of Global Seminar & Creative Programs, the Education Development Trainer plays a key role in delivering high-quality training to Regional and Local Delivery Education teams. You will work with Global Technical Education, Content Development, and Marketing to ensure Kao Salon brand values are communicated to educators, sales teams, stylists, and salon owners worldwide.
Success in this role requires deep product knowledge across the entire Kao Salon portfolio, along with expertise in technical, cutting, finishing, styling, and color education. Manage & facilitate all training deliverables aligned with adult learning principles to maximise impact.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a hairdresser, field educator, or academy educator.
  • Hands-on experience in education management, training development, and team leadership.
  • Industry knowledge with an understanding of salon business operations.
  • Experience creating impactful education materials and delivering engaging training.
  • Commercial mindset with experience using education to increase sales..
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook (Mac experience is a plus).
  • Valid driver’s license and unrestricted passport for regional and international travel.
  • Ability to travel up to 70%, including overnight stays, by car, plane, and train.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a product expert, understanding how Kao Salon products perform across different hair types and scenarios.
  • Develop and deliver training programs that align with Global Education leadership while meeting local market needs and our goals.
  • Collaborate with Design and Delivery teams on education programs and toolbox development.
  • Maintain high training standards across education teams, ensuring best practices achieve brand growth and sales.
  • You will contribute to Kao Salon’s global education strategy by sharing insights and best practices.
  • Oversee training logistics, ensuring programs are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Manage expense reporting, budgeting, and administrative tasks related to training programs.
