Education, Health & Care Plan Officer (EHCP)
Band E/F - £37,035 - £49,764 per annum.
This is an exciting time to join Solihull’s Education, Health and Care Plan Team as we continue to grow our service. Due to an increased investment to expand the team, we are currently recruiting for additional Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) Officers to join the service.

We are looking for professionals with experience in special educational needs who are seeking a new challenge and responsibility in an exciting and fast paced role. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will request and collate information from a number of partner services in line with the local authority’s legal duties and working processes.
As an EHCP Officer you will manage a caseload of children and young people with Educational Health Care Plans who are under assessment, identifying and raising complex cases with your supervisor and supporting parents, young people and schools.
You will effectively be able to engage with parents, young people and schools, ensuring that they are supported, and that their EHCP journey is underpinned by co-production principles.

This is an incredibly rewarding role which will test your ability to manage multiple workflows and to prioritise and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders. You will be at the centre of facilitating positive outcomes for a group of highly vulnerable children and young people.
This role offers hybrid working opportunities - currently office based 3 days per week Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with the option of working from home on a Thursday and Friday.

Candidates can be appointed at Band E or Band F level - please see attached Job Description for further details. Incremental progression between bands is dependent on experience, performance and undertaking the additional specified criteria of the Band F role which includes Level 4 SEND Caseworker award which the council offers to permanent staff in this role.
