This is a unique opportunity to train as an Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP), combining hands-on experience with fully funded postgraduate-level training delivered by the University of Sussex. As a trainee EMHP, you will learn, under supportive supervision, how to deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties within education settings. You will: * Deliver individual and group interventions in schools and colleges. * Work collaboratively with young people, parents/carers, and education staff. * Support schools in identifying and managing mental health needs at a whole-school level. * Help signpost and facilitate access to specialist services when needed. * Participate fully in academic and practice-based learning with the University of Sussex.   This role combines practical experience (3–4 days per week) with postgraduate study (1 day per week). You’ll be fully supported through supervision, practice tutoring, and structured development opportunities. This role includes fully funded, nationally recognised postgraduate-level training with the University of Sussex, supporting you to develop specialist skills in evidence-based interventions for children and young people. Training time is protected, and you’ll receive both academic and practice-based supervision. What we're looking for:  * A Level 6 qualification (e.g., degree-level or equivalent).   * Ability to build trusting, respectful relationships with children, young people, and families.   * Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, school leaders, families, and multi-agency partners.   * Ability to participate in postgraduate study and work effectively under supervision.   * A full driving licence or ability to meet the travel requirements of a countywide role.
