The Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) at the University of Luxembourg contributes multidisciplinary expertise in the fields of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences and Medicine.

The Department of Life Sciences and Medicine(DLSM) is part of the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine of the University of Luxembourg. DLSM is coordinating all teaching programmes in the life sciences, medicine, nursing and midwifery. Research at the department integrate basic and translational, molecular and computational approaches with a focus on cancer biology, as well as clinical research projects in human health and disease.
The DLSM cooperates with the national health care centres and with leading international biomedical research institutions. The University of Luxembourg has set a strategic focus on medicine and health and is actively developing the training and research areas in these domains, creating exceptional opportunities in medical and biomedical initiatives.
In 2023, the University launched four bachelor programmes in specialized nursing sciences in the fields of surgery, anaesthesia/resuscitation, paediatrics, and mental health. A fifth programme ‘Bachelor of Nursing in General Care’ started in September 2024, while two more bachelor programmes – Midwifery and radiographer/clinical imaging - are set to commence in September 2025. These programmes are organized by combining theoretical training as well as simulations using the latest technology with practical training in hospitals, outpatient clinics and care centres, in collaboration with various institutions in the country and abroad.
In this context, the University is recruiting one Education Programme Specialist in nursing.
Your responsibilities:
The Education Programme Specialist will be attached to the University on a full-time basis. S/he will have to report to the Directors of the Programs and contribute directly development and the excellence of the new Bachelors’ of Science in Nursing.
Education programme development: Contribute to the development, revision and updating of the bachelor programmes to meet state-of-the-art requirements and to incorporate modern teaching approaches and techniques. Support the establishment of the course schedules and the teaching programme in close contact with the Director of the study, the study program administrators and the project officers. Analyse needs for change and advise on initiatives and programme objectives.
Education programme implementation: Teach specific topics in the programme according to his/her expertise and contribute to the production of supporting material and online content. Contribute to course preparation and evaluation of courses/programmes. Contribute to partnerships and the establishment of trustful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
The holder should therefore have teaching and programme development experience and ideally clinical experience in nursing.
