EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education in Education, Criminal Justice, Public Administration or a related field.
Five years full-time, wage-earning public education or correctional education experience.
Valid Texas teaching certification, Principal/Mid-Management Certification, or valid out of state equivalent certification preferred.
This position requires personal technology that will enable the completion of job duties and responsibilities when working remotely.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

Extensive knowledge of academic curriculum and instructional practices.
Skill to interpret and apply rules, regulation, policies and procedures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills within a diverse community.
Skill to implement instructional technology activities with staff, departments, agencies, organizations and the public at the direction of administration.
Knowledge of personal computer and network hardware, operating systems, software, and peripherals.
Ability to maintain broad knowledge and understanding of adult learning theories.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist with instructional technology associated professional development activities for teachers, principals and administrators throughout the district.
  2. Assist principals and administrators with the implementation of standardized curriculum to include computer software.
  3. Collaborate with administrators, educators, and principals to improve academic service delivery professional development.
  4. Travel extensively throughout the district.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned.
