The BAE Systems Aviation Technical Training (ATT) project delivers all aviation trade training and technical manager training to the Australian Defence Force. Applications are now sought from qualified vocational education professionals, to join a united, genuine, and engaging team.
We now have an exciting opportunity for an Educational Support Officer to join us in a fixed term, part time (0.6) capacity for a period of 12 months, this role is the perfect opportunity to become a part of the future of Australian Defence aviation training, and help shape the Defence aviation technical workforce of the future. Reporting to the Training Governance Manager, you will have the opportunity to utilise your expertise and take your career to another level.
This role will be based out of Wagga RAAF base site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake educational/vocational specialist support activities and provide learning support and guidance to Australian Defence Force (ADF) trainees
  • Monitor student trainee course progress for failure risks and trends, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and customer representative to address these
  • Conduct language, literacy and numeracy assessments and analysis for all incoming courses
  • Provide support to the Training Governance Manager to ensure program compliance with relevant standards and legislations
  • Support training development activities including providing educational advice and Aviation Technical Training support
  • Conduct educational support and progress management interviews for trainees
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal, external and customer stakeholders
