SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have:

• Current Working With Children Check
• Current National Police Check
• Certificate IV in Education Support preferred

We’re looking for passionate Education Support Officers (ESOs) to join our team. You’ll help create engaging learning experiences, supporting individual students and small groups both in and out of the classroom to help them reach their full potential.
The tenure of this position is for 30 hours over 5 days a week. Applicants who are looking for part time hours are welcome to apply.

It is expected that the successful applicant will be:

• committed to the values and ethos of our Catholic faith
• demonstrate an understanding of child safety and the appropriate obligations and behaviours when engaging with students.
• highly motivated, committed, positive, friendly and enthusiastic
• have some experience working with students with a diverse range of needs, especially ASD and anxiety
• display effective communication and organisational skills and the ability to be adaptable
• able to complete duties such as First Aid, yard duty support
• use initiative within the class environment to ensure optimal student support
• able to work as part of teams of various sizes
• self-motivated and able to work independently if necessary
• able to build positive relationships with children and create learning environments where all are valued and challenged
• prepared to be active in our school community
