Manchester Metropolitan University stands as one of the UK’s most inspiring higher education institutions, providing passionate and dedicated individuals the chance to make a significant impact on local, national, and international communities. We have been a pioneer in education since our origins in 1824. A TEF Gold institution and ranked 11th in the National Student Survey (NSS) for student satisfaction by The Times, we are now the first university in the UK to introduce a dedicated Education Technical Professional (ETP) promotion pathway.
The pathway champions technical and technology education delivery and innovation. It recognises the outstanding contribution our technical colleagues play in driving transformational education and outcomes for our students. The ETP promotion pathway provides a clear framework for technician development. ETPs work collaboratively with our academic colleagues to provide a comprehensive education to shape a learning environment when our students and colleagues can flourish.
Simulation is an effective learning method that has seen significant growth in healthcare education, promoting experiential learning in a safe environment. Healthcare simulation ranging from role plays, standardised patients to highly immersive interactions with virtual objects or high-fidelity simulation characters. Simulation helps students consolidate knowledge and bridge the gap between classroom theory and practical application. It allows students to practice authentic scenarios, developing critical skills without risk to real patients.
This role will contribute to the simulation provision in both pre- and post-registration nursing (UG and PG). The School of Nursing and Public Health has an ambitious strategy to increase simulation-based education within the curriculum to enhance student experience and employability. The role will also play a critical role in the development of the University’s Digitally Enhanced Learning, Teaching and Assessment (DELTA) Strategy to expand our digital learning offer.
EDUCATION TECHNICAL PROFESSIONAL I (HEALTHCARE SIMULATION - NURSING): £40,497 TO £46,735
