DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and culturally sensitive Contractor to join our team as an Educational Administrative Assistant (EAA) on a Self-employed basis. This role sits between the Community and HR teams and focuses primarily on teacher management and administrative coordination. The EAA will play a key role in supporting communication, document handling, and recruitment processes for our educators.
One of the initial projects will be assisting with the launch and administration of our new International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme School-supported Self Taught (SSST) Language A course. This includes helping the Course Advisor and Head of Community with teacher recruitment, onboarding, and organisational tasks as the course is established.

EAA Key Responsibilities:

  • To support recruitment efforts for the SSST course: send initial communications to teachers, respond to questions, collect and organise required documentation, and manage follow-ups
  • Manage the recruitment inbox and assist with implementing a new referral system
  • Provide general administrative support as the academic year begins
  • Assist with HR tasks, including reviewing and collecting teacher documents, and issuing contracts
  • Support the transition to a new HR platform by checking and organising course-related documents

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 2 years’ administrative experience, preferably within an educational setting
  • Proven experience in education administration; familiarity with the International Baccalaureate (IB) is highly advantageous
  • Prior HR and recruitment administration experience is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in ZOHO People or similar systems is desirable
  • Previous experience working in a remote based setting is desirable

KEY SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • Culturally aware and comfortable collaborating with a global team
  • Proactive, dependable, and committed to supporting educators and international programmes
Please note that while this is a self-employed role, due to the nature of services requested, the successful Contractor will be required to be available during standard operating hours between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
This role is subject to two satisfactory references and applicants must be based in the UK and able to provide proof of right to work in the UK.
    Directly applicants only, no agencies
