Description

Our Educational Aide will be responsible for providing behavioral and academic support to students in the private day school setting. We are looking for motivated individuals that desire to affect positive change in young people’s lives through daily classroom and community-based instruction. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Assists teachers and other support staff in all educational settings. * Implement behavior strategies as described and collect behavior data as requested. * Provides academic assistance to students as directed by teacher. * Works with teachers, other support staff, and administration to maintain a safe and supportive school environment. * Monitors behavior of students and initiates positive reinforcement of desired behaviors. * Communicates with teacher, other support staff, and administrators to coordinate activities, exchange information, and resolve challenges. * Attends staff meetings, parent meetings, IEP meetings as requested. * With provided training, obtain Safety Care certification and implement Safety Care strategies to respond to and de-escalate negative behaviors. * Attends work regularly and arrives in a timely fashion. * Communicates professionally and conveys dignity and respect to students, parents, co-workers, and other professionals.
