South Island School is looking for an Educational Assistant, Chinese (Part Time) to join the team. Responsibilities Under the guidance of the classroom teacher, the candidate would be responsible for the following: Support students with Chinese learning in school Support students to maximize their achievements within the curriculum Support teachers with the aim of increasing students access to and attainment within the school curriculum Perform any other duties as and when assigned by Line Managers Requirements Native or near-native proficiency in Putonghua and fluent English are essential, and being able to speak Cantonese is an advantage. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment. Strong ICT skills, with a particular emphasis on online teaching tools and platforms. Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable. Candidates who are immediately available will be given preference.
