Salary: $35 700 - $46 700 (commensurate with experience and qualifications)

Education Assistant Expectations

The successful candidate will:

• Assist the teacher as directed
• Assist students in learning, individually or in groups
• Help students set up for class, get organized and have their homework
• Communicate with the Teacher and Inclusive Education teacher regarding the students’ development
• Assist the teacher in maintaining accurate student records (IEP goals, adaptations and/or modification progress)
• Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher interviews, field trips, professional development opportunities, and any other meetings as designated by the Inclusive Education teacher
• Any other responsibilities as required for the development and management of the students
