Description
We are seeking a full time Educational Assistant (Mathematics focus) to join our Secondary Learning Enhancement Team (LET). Educational Assistants are appointed to work with students with learning needs, either individually, in small groups or in the classrooms. The LET EAs work alongside Learning Enhancement Team and classroom teachers to promote a culture of inclusion. Responsibilities To work with individuals or groups of students under the direction of the teachers. To support the teachers by liaising and feeding back about student progress. To promote the inclusive aims, ethos and policies of the school at all times. To attend courses and training days whenever possible. To be able and comfortable working with MYP students across the curriculum. To assure appropriate confidentiality. Requirements A caring, committed and flexible approach to young people is essential. Good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. Understanding of learning, social and emotional challenges. Familiarity with IB MYP Mathematics up to Year 11. Organised and with initiative.
