EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANT

Location: Westpark Middle School
30 hours weekly
Commencing as soon as a suitable candidate is found.
The successful applicant will provide behavioural support to Middle School students with complex needs. All Educational Assistants at Westpark Middle spend time in both inclusive classrooms as well as the specialized program.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:

• An Educational Assistant Certificate (or similar training) is an asset.
• Experience supporting children with complex needs and behaviours.
• Someone who works well independently and can take initiative.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Comfort supporting middle school students with personal care, including toileting when needed.
