QUALIFICATIONS: FORMAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING

  • A Master’s degree in Education or related field- required.
  • 3+ years program/curriculum development experience.
  • 3+ years’ teaching experience at a post-secondary level.

QUALIFICATIONS: SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated pedagogical knowledge as well as curriculum development and delivery experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide feedback on teaching and course design within post-secondary environments.
  • Exemplary communication skills (both written and verbal) evidenced by the preparation of teaching resources, slides and handouts.
  • Demonstrated knowledge pedagogical practices best suited for post-secondary education.
  • Demonstrated experience developing educational courses and programs.
  • Demonstrated experience working with current learning technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills required in working with students, staff, faculty, and the general public.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated presentation skills and ability to receive feedback.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team is essential and should be demonstrated.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and complete work accurately under tight timelines.
  • Ability to make sound independent judgments and utilize problem-solving abilities with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of University regulations and policies is an asset.
