This position reports to the Program Director under the advisement of the Executive Director. The Education Manager is the most outward facing member of the educational staff, and interacts with families, schools, educational consultants and other educational staff connected with families (i.e. former and future schools, education lawyers). The Educational Manager is accountable for the performance of the education team, as well as maintaining the integrity of the educational services offered at The Ridge. Responsibilities Provides performance management, conducts team meetings, and monthly supervision for the educational team. Ensure system for documenting client engagement with completing assignments. Promptly after a new client's admission, contact the client's family, school, and educational consultant to establish the client's educational needs during their time at the Ridge. Coordinate with the educational coordinators to ensure that clients that have assignments from other schools have opportunities and support during Independent Learning to work on those assignments. Addresses and supports clients who demonstrate difficulty engaging in educational groups. Identifies barriers to participation and creates a plan to support increased engagement in partnership with therapists and educational coordinators. Participate in calls with families, schools, and educational consultants on educational issues. Supports and communicates course and school requirements. This includes communication via email, phone, and/or fax to teachers, school counselors, administrators, and parents. Provides regular, daily progress notes charting in client charts in accordance with relevant standards, including academic progress, academic goals, treatment related activities, session summary, parent and school contacts made, during course of stay. Participate in IEP meetings with school districts. Initiates with proper school personnel and follow up on IEPs as needed. Creates and augments an educational curriculum based on therapeutic and age-appropriate content. Monitors and audits of educational group for content geared towards curriculum goals. Assists and supports clients in meeting deadlines for home schoolwork and securing extensions. Participates in and supports clinical staff in supervision of therapeutic and experiential groups, mealtimes, morning routines, etc. Supervises youth during and after classroom hours including monitoring all computer and technology screens in use. Fully accounting for whereabouts, safety, and care of each client. Conducts self in a professional manner in areas of dress, language, attitude, and behavior. Maintains appropriate professional and therapeutic boundaries at all times. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education or related. Experience in a behavioral health setting preferred. Appropriate state certification and State of New Hampshire Credential. Demonstrated leadership and administrative skills; ability to exercise good judgement, communicate orally and in writing, as well as follow organization policies and provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with parents, staff, and students. Valid Class II driver's license with clean driving records and current auto insurance. Current CPR/First Aid Certifications, Water Safety certification. Salary Range $55,000—$60,000 USD Benefits Comprehensive benefits package: medical, dental, and vision. 401k with 4% match.
