Inhabit Education is an Inuit-owned educational publishing company that produces materials for students and teachers in Nunavut. We primarily publish in Inuktitut, Inuinnaqtun, and English, and occasionally in French. Our mandate is to create educational materials for Northern schools that are culturally appropriate and grounded in pedagogical research and experience.
We are seeking a full-time Educational Project Manager. More specifically, we are looking for an educator who is willing to manage projects or has managed projects in the past.The ideal candidate is located in the Greater Toronto Area or Iqaluit, Nunavut.

WE ARE SEEKING AN EDUCATIONAL PROJECT MANAGER TO:

  • Manage projects.
  • Collaborate on the planning of training materials and workshops based on approved curriculums for audiences that include educators, school support staff, and school administrators.
  • Write and revise training materials, training workshops, and supplemental resources.
  • Assist in facilitating teacher training workshops in online and face-to-face environments.
  • Revise educational materials, such as teacher guides and lesson plans.
  • Incorporate feedback on draft materials.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working as an elementary school teacher or a similar role.
  • Experience in later elementary is an asset.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience teaching language arts is an asset.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Strong working proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, and Google Drive.
  • Strong writing skills, particularly the ability to write in plain language.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and professional speaking abilities.
  • Knowledge of current best practices in education.
  • Experience working in a Northern or Indigenous context is a strong asset.
