The Educational Technology & Assessment Specialist supports faculty, staff, and students by managing educational technology platforms, assessment tools, and data systems critical to teaching, learning, and accreditation. This role provides expertise in the learning management system and assessment platforms, develops innovative educational technology resources, and ensures accurate collection, analysis, and reporting of student, course, and programmatic data. The position also manages automated workflows and technology processes that are essential to the College’s operations. Hours for the position will be Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm Responsibilities of the position include: Learning Management System (e.g., Blackboard): Serve as primary support for troubleshooting, permissions, course setup, gradebooks, and student/faculty enrollment. Assist faculty with course design, instructional strategies, and the integration of educational technologies (e.g., Rise 360, Storyline, Panopto). Assessment Platforms (e.g., ExamSoft, PAEA Exams): Oversee assessment platform administrative setup and manage reporting/analytics. Support secure testing environments, troubleshoot student access issues, and manage Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodations within the platforms. Data & Accreditation Support: Collect, analyze, and present student, course, and program data for accreditation self-studies and site visits. Develop and/or maintain dashboards, reports, and spreadsheets to track curriculum outcomes and assessment effectiveness. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators to interpret data and identify opportunities for improvement. Assist with evaluation tools and mapping for assessments and OSCEs. Instructional Design & Educational Technology: Support faculty in developing innovative, technology-enhanced learning activities and resources. Provide training on instructional design tools and serve as a creative partner in course innovation. Stay current with emerging educational technologies to enhance teaching and learning. Ensure compliance with Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), ADA requirements, and technology-related accreditation criteria. Process & Workflow Management and Improvement: Manage and maintain Microsoft forms and workflows and other automated processes supporting College operations. Administer educational technology subscriptions. Collaboration, Service, and Innovation: Provide rapid, reliable, and approachable educational technology support to faculty, staff, and students. Embrace innovation to improve efficiency, accuracy, efficacy of systems. Serve as a non-partisan, collaborative voice on committees and projects. Contribute to a positive, innovative, and student-centered academic environment. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Data Analytics, or related field preferred. Experience with Learning Management Systems, such as Blackboard assessment platforms, such as ExamSoft, and educational technology platforms, such as Kahoot, Quizlet, etc. Strong skills in data analysis, dashboard development (Power BI or similar), and survey/evaluation tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Power Automate, and related applications. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to balance technical expertise with creativity and instructional innovation. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance regulations in the education sector. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time and ability to walk as needed around assigned work areas. Must be able to hear and speak well enough to communicate in person and on the telephone with prospective and current students and alumni, faculty, staff, and community and agency representatives. Ability to bend, lift items weighing up to 20 lbs., stoop, push and pull as needed in using, troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
