As a Casual Room Assistant, you will work as part of a team and be responsible for assisting in the delivery of care and education programs for children and young people in a room environment. We expect our casual employees to maintain high standards of care and professionalism, and we are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children and families.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the health safety of all enrolled children at the service at all times
  • Maintain quality supervision of all enrolled children at the service at all times
  • Assist with the implementation of daily routines
  • Perform duties as requested by the Nominated Supervisor
  • Fulfill tasks delegated by the Room Leader
  • Assist with housekeeping duties
  • Ensure cleaning duties (including cleaning of the foyer, kitchen and bathroom facilities) and general responsibilities are completed as per the staffing roster or as directed by the Room Leader/Nominated Supervisor
  • Work with children aged 6 weeks to 6 years as per operational requirements
  • Must maintain current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma, Working with Children Check and Child Protection Certificate
