HIRING CASUAL EDUCATORS
Casual: $35 - $45 per hour
Educate Tutoring is currently seeking casual English, Maths and Science Tutors to teach foundation skills to students aged between 5 and 18 years. We deliver in-person tuition, in both individual and paired settings, from our offices in Kingston and Sandy Bay, Tasmania. We support the development of students’ confidence in their ability to learn through engaging multi-sensory and direct instruction models.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
This role involves the in-person delivery of weekly one-hour quality educational support programs, primarily taking place outside of school hours. Usually, 7:30am to 10:30am in the morning and 2:30pm to 6:30pm in the afternoon. At Educate Tutoring, educators might start by working a few hours each week with the possibility of increasing those hours with new enrolments.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Willingness to engage in regular informal training
· Registration to Work with Vulnerable People
· National Police Check
EXPERIENCE (DESIRABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL):
· Delivery of evidence-based instruction in English or Mathematics
· Delivery of lessons in study skills, note-taking and test-taking strategies
· Experience in teaching foundation literacy and/or mathematics skills
· Bachelor of Education or equivalent teaching qualification
