The Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU) represents nearly 1.7 million workers and their families. Since 1927, we have led some of the most significant workplace struggles in Australia’s history. The ACTU’s role as a peak body is to encourage workers to join their union, be a national voice for our movement, and advance and defend workers’ rights through coordinated campaigns, representation, and support to our affiliates.
As an Educator, you will be part of a team responsible for developing and delivering innovative and evidence-based education to union organisers and industrial officers. With the implementation of many new industrial laws, the deepening of strong advocacy and industrial skills is a focus of many union employees. We are looking to employ a person with strong experience in advocating for workers in the context of handling workplace disputes, grievances, negotiations and in tribunals to be part of our vibrant education team in delivering an industrial pathway of courses to union organisers, industrial officers and specialist staff.
