Responsibilities

As an Educator, you will be part of a team responsible for developing and delivering innovative and evidence-based education to union organisers and industrial officers. With the implementation of many new industrial laws, the deepening of strong advocacy and industrial skills is a focus of many union employees. We are looking to employ a person with strong experience in advocating for workers in the context of handling workplace disputes, grievances, negotiations and in tribunals to be part of our vibrant education team in delivering an industrial pathway of courses to union organisers, industrial officers and specialist staff. Reporting to the Lead Educator, you will:

  • Contribute to the development, delivery and review of ATUI courses, with a particular focus on the industrial pathway courses
  • Contribute to the development and sharing of evidence-based resources within the union movement.
  • Work with individual unions on education and development, capacity building and change.
  • Deliver high quality and well attended education programs.
  • Contribute to the development, delivery and review of ATUI courses with a particular focus on industrial and advocacy content.
