EDUCATOR, SCHOOL-AGE CARE

YMCA of Eastern Ontario
Kingston
Employment Category: Part-time, permanent
Hours: Split Shift, Monday-Friday (including non-school days)
Compensation: $22.55 - $25.55 per hour (inclusive of wage enhancements; dependent on qualifications)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Criminal Reference Check (CPIC) including Vulnerable Sector Check completed not more than 120 days prior to interview, with results acceptable to the YMCA of Eastern Ontario
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR “C”
  • Early Childhood Education diploma and registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators preferred
  • Other post-secondary education considered (Child and Youth Care, Ontario Certified Teacher, etc)
  • Experience in a licensed child care program
  • Record of up-to-date immunizations
Responsibilities
  • Planning, organizing, directing and implementing the School-Age Care program in accordance with the policies and procedures of the YMCA and Ministry of Education
  • Providing a safe nurturing space for the children to learn.
  • Coordinating and supervising all aspects of this School-Age Care program, meeting or exceeding all standards required by the Ministry of Education and the YMCA.
  • Conducting all principle requirements of the position as detailed in the Educator job description.
  • Supporting all staff working at the site.
