JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

The Neurodiagnostic Technologist performs standard and complex electroencephalography, EEGs, and assists physicians in the performance of nerve conduction testing. Assists in the daily operation of the department. Regulates and operates equipment used to perform Neurodiagnostic procedures. Tracks and reports Neurodiagnostic testing quality of care. Staff will perform the High Level Disinfection process in accordance in with manufacturer’s instructions (per policy). Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and medical staff.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL NEED:

• Required Education:High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Preferred Education: Enrollment in or graduation a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Neurodiagnostice Program, recognized Neurodiagnostic certificate program or an Associate’s Degree or higher in a health-related field
• Preferred Experience: 1 year employment in neurodiagnostics
• Required License: Registry (R. EEG T) within 2 years from date of employment. BLS – within 30 days of start
