Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) Clyde, Ohio   Premier Dental is seeking a skilled and compassionate Full-Time Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team! As an EFDA, you will work closely with our dentists and other team members to provide exceptional dental care to our patients.  Premier Dental: 510 E McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410     Schedule: * Monday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM * Tuesday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM * Wednesday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM * Thursday 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM * Friday 9:00 AM - 1:30 PM     Job Requirements: * EFDA Certification in the state of Ohio * Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures * Taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays) * Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse * Serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment * Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment * Providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling) * Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling) * Taking impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth) * Communicating with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies) * Helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics and oral surgery * Completes approved procedures validated through the Dental Board such as placement of amalgam, composite restorations, stainless steel crowns, space maintainers, etc. * Follow properly issued instructions/directions regarding patient flow and manage the flow of patients to schedule/maximize the doctor’s time if applicable   Benefits: * Full-time employees (30+ hours per week) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage, as well as access to a variety of voluntary benefits. * Full-time employees are eligible for paid time off and holiday pay. * Part-time employees working 16+ hours per week are eligible for paid time off. * All employees may participate in our 401(k) retirement savings plan, which includes a company match.     Bright Direction Dental is an equal opportunity employer.
