The group you’ll be a part of The impact you’ll make We’re seeking a dynamic Senior EHS Professional to shape the future of safety at our rapidly evolving, innovation‑driven organization. In this role, you will have the opportunity to create the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) program foundation for a new semiconductor research & development (R&D) facility, from conceptual phase into operational phase and beyond. Opportunities include participating in the design review of the R&D facility, environmental permit application preparation (air and water emissions, waste management, chemical), chemical management program development, emergency preparedness, and construction safety assurance. What you’ll do Key Responsabilities: Acts as the EHS authority for multidisciplinary design reviews across new construction, modernization, and process expansions. Performs evaluations and partners with program managers and technical leaders to ensure designs meet or exceed global EHS standards and regulatory requirements. Integrates safety into engineering decisions through hazard‑risk assessments, PHA/HAZOP participation, and lifecycle safety planning. Supports environmental and health‑related permitting for air emissions, wastewater, chemical storage, and waste disposal. Leads the Chemical Safety Program, including chemical handling, storage, segregation, disposal, and approval processes. Partners with R&D, operations, and supply chain to develop safe and sustainable processes. Leads and supports incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and follow‑up verification of corrective actions. Provides governance and oversight for large‑scale construction projects and contractors. Promotes a strong field safety culture through inspections, readiness reviews, and alignment with Construction Safety Management Plans. Assesses equipment readiness for the R&D facility and collaborates with project teams and contractors to drive incident prevention and continuous improvement. Who we’re looking for Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field. Master’s degree or related work experience preferred. Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 5 years and a Master’s degree. Senior‑level experience in EHS within manufacturing, semiconductor, R&D, industrial, or high‑hazard environments. Expertise in design safety and chemical management programs. Working-level knowledge of environmental permitting. Understanding of regulatory frameworks (OSHA, EPA, NFPA, IBC/IFC, etc.). The ability to think strategically, act decisively, and lead with integrity. Preferred qualifications This position is a technical individual contributor role and will interact daily with other EHS and business unit engineers and managers. As such, the position requires: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, influence, and drive results. Strong analytical skills. Expert understanding of safety processes, hazard identification and environmental permitting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence and establish clarity with complex content, in front of peers and leaders. Self-motivated and requires little supervision to achieve planned results.
