WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE A SUCCESSFUL EHCP CO-ORDINATOR?
The successful candidate will also be required to support colleagues and faculty staff to ensure that Activate Learning is providing a consistent, supportive approach to those with additional needs.
You will have sound knowledge of learning difficulties and disabilities and experience of working with special educational needs. You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience of chairing meetings and organising a busy work schedule. Effective professional relationships with colleagues, learners and the wider community are essential. Excellent organisational and administrative skills are required and flexibility to travel between campuses.

The co-ordinator will work to support learners who face substantial barriers to education, including learners with special educational needs. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the EHCP processes for learners with SEN within the local area and collaborate with external agencies to support the transition of students into the College offer. The role will include working with faculty staff to raise awareness of disability as required.
This is a permanent, part-time (0.81 FTE) role based at our Farnham college with the possibility of some days at our Merrist Wood college.
