Position Title: EHR Application Analyst - Orders Analyst (WFH - OK, TX, MO, KS & AR) Department: IT Care Delivery Applications Job Description: This position may be filled as an EHR Application Analyst Level I, II, or III, depending on individual education, experience, and other qualifications. This position may be performed remotely from the following locations within the United States of America: Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. The EHR Application Analyst I will assist in the development, support and functionality roll out of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. The EHR Application Analyst I assists the organization in optimizing their workflow processes through building applications that are tailored to meet the organizations’ needs. Responsible for learning the EHR system’s capabilities and functional use and apply knowledge of Healthcare Business workflows to assist in the implementation of a system that meets process needs. Essential Responsibilities: Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Provide day-to-day technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting issues, answering questions, and resolving system errors to ensure uninterrupted use of the EHR system. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, patches, and upgrades, to ensure the stability and security of the EHR system. Participate in testing and validation activities for system changes, enhancements, and upgrades, following pre-defined change management processes to ensure that new features and configurations meet functional requirements and do not introduce unintended consequences or disruptions. Assist in configuring and customizing the EHR system to meet the specific needs and workflows of healthcare providers and organizations implementing operationally approved optimizations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT professionals, clinicians, administrators, and vendors, to support EHR initiatives and projects, and facilitate communication and coordination. Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, user procedures, and support issues, contributing to a knowledge base that facilitates efficient problem-solving and knowledge transfer within the team. Builds strong relationships with core customer base (nurses, physicians, revenue cycle, health information management, core team members, etc.) and facility leadership. General Responsibilities: Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree required. Experience: 0 - 3 years of applicable IT or healthcare experience required. License/Certification/Registration Required: Epic certification required within three months of class completion or 6 months of hire. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Analytical, organization, and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and within teams. Ability to solve problems and understand customer needs. Understanding of healthcare business process and technology. Understanding of healthcare workflows and terminology.
