This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in working in both a training and digital healthcare role to support our Electronic Health Record (Epic) system which went live in April 2019. We are looking for a skilled, experienced and enthusiastic trainer to join our innovative Epic Training team.
Patients are at the centre of everything we do. Our Electronic Health Record - Epic - helps to ensure that we continue to get better at delivering services and treatment plans designed around patient needs.
Our vision is to create a digitally enabled organisation that supports the delivery of efficient and effective patient care, achieved through easy-to-use systems that provide staff and patients with access to the right information, in the right place, at the right time. To help us to achieve this vision, we are looking for passionate individuals to join our training team.
As a Principal Trainer, you will design and deliver Epic training to staff across all professions. A good understanding of key clinical workflows and terminology is therefore required, with clinical experience desirable.
You will lead on the design and delivery of allocated Epic training courses; help create Epic eLearning; assist with quality improvement projects relating to Epic design and implementation; work closely with specialist leads and educators, and be part of the Epic super-user community we have here at UCLH. As part of this role, you will also need to undertake and complete a formal Epic qualification.
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic team member who can adapt to this fast-paced and broad role. Applicants will require strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and adjust priorities quickly to the rapidly changing needs of a large teaching hospital.
Please be aware as part of the selection process, candidates will need to undertake and pass the Epic Aptitude Test. Candidates who do not pass the test will unfortunately not be considered for the role, due to the requirements and standards set by our EHRS supplier (Epic).
