GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Revenue Cycle Build Team Member will support the Revenue Cycle Workstream Lead in delivering the Revenue Cycle workstream for the Cúram EHR implementation within UPMC Ireland. The role involves assisting in executing tasks within the project scope and governance, including stakeholder coordination and milestone tracking. The member will collaborate with the Revenue Cycle Workstream Lead and other workstream members to ensure alignment with revenue cycle operations and programme goals. Additionally, the role includes contributing to the documentation of workflows, system configurations, and testing different outcomes (e.g. interoperability, data migration, reporting, end-user devices) to support a seamless end-user experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health information management, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in revenue cycle operations in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with healthcare billing, coding, reimbursement models, and compliance standards.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across clinical and operational teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 2 years of experience supporting or leading system implementations (preferably MEDITECH or similar ERP/EHR platforms).
  • Experience as a user of MEDITECH Expanse Revenue Cycle modules (e.g., Registration, Abstracting, B/AR, Scheduling, Charge Capture, Claims Management) or equivalent major EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Oracle Health).
  • Familiarity with clinical-to-financial workflow alignment and charge integrity.
  • Knowledge of clinical decision support, change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR), and regulatory requirements (e.g., documentation standards, medication safety protocols).
  • Training in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean) or project management

OVERVIEW OF ROLE:

The Revenue Cycle Build Team Member will support the implementation of the Cúram Electronic Health Record (EHR) system across UPMC Ireland. Reporting to the Revenue Cycle Workstream Lead, this role focuses on assisting with the configuration, testing, and validation of revenue cycle-related applications, including patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, charge capture, coding, billing, claims, denials, and collections. The Revenue Cycle Build Team Member will contribute to aligning system functionality with revenue cycle workflows and operational requirements under the guidance of the Revenue Cycle Workstream Lead.
