Responsibilities
  • Work directly with construction and project management to support accountability in relation to EHS.
  • Developing & maintaining schedule and quality oversight of specific conventional safety and environmental management plans, procedures and committees including; inspections, audits, observation and coaching, Worker Trades Committee and JHSC.
  • Coordinate and communicate event management and project needs where required.
  • Ensure project safety related problems or issues are dealt with appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Train project staff in the requirements of conventional safety procedures.
  • Track and report safety-related statistics, manage Return to Work, Modified duties cases at the field level.
  • Ensure that EHS metrics (leading and lagging indicators) are regularly compiled, trended and reviewed with the EHS Director, operational project teams and the OPG Safety Department.
  • Additional detailed requirements as outlined in the Project Specific EHS and related programs
  • Support Human Performance program activities.
  • Assist in development of JSA, High Hazard, Critical Lifting and Handling forms and audit same in the field.
