CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualifications: NEBOSH Certificate (Diploma preferred)
  • Experience: Previous experience in an HSE role, ideally in manufacturing or a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and ability to implement compliance measures effectively.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments, accident investigations, and compliance audits to a high standard.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly motivated HSE Advisor to lead all Health, Safety, and Environmental matters on-site. This role is instrumental in driving a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance, and implementing risk reduction initiatives across the plant.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HSE professional to take ownership of safety processes, support operational teams, and work closely with engineering and leadership teams to enhance workplace safety and regulatory adherence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead all HSE-related activities, ensuring a proactive approach to safety and compliance.
  • Provide day-to-day safety support, incident investigation, and risk reduction strategies.
  • Drive the Zero Harm initiative, conducting site audits, risk assessments, and safety culture improvements.
  • Implement and improve HSE policies, procedures, and risk management processes.
  • Support engineering teams with compliance activities, ensuring regulatory deadlines are met.
  • Manage HSE reporting, producing detailed reports on accidents, trends, and action close-outs.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, site briefings, and safety inductions for new starters.
  • Oversee statutory inspections, ensuring timely completion and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure adherence to HSE regulations in new developments.
  • Work closely with union representatives and leadership teams to maintain a strong safety culture.
