Description
Responsibilities include supporting EHS activities at the site; performing risk assessments; compliance inspections; design and/or implementation of EHS solutions; internal reporting of EHS performance; communication of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements; closure of EHS and regulatory findings in a timely manner; completion of training for required EHS personnel; and creating a strong zero incident EHS culture that engages employees throughout the site in EHS teams and processes. Supports EHS Manager and site for all OSHA compliance programs, including, but not limited to; PPE, Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection, Machine Guarding, Lock Out Tag Out, Confined Space, Industrial Powered Trucks, Contractor safety, and Hazard communication. Supports EHS Manager in development, maintenance, and achievement of goals in support of corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives. Including the development of goals to drive EHS culture, compliance, and result. Responsible to the tracking of appropriate leading and lagging indicators to track EHS performance. Supports EHS Manager with developing and conducting required training. Develop campaigns to promote zero incident EHS culture throughout site. Coordinate the annual EHS self-assessment (evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations) with EHS Manager and EHS element champions. Responsible for using established EHS data processes such as Benchmark and MESH Prism to manage data. Supports identification, design, implementation of improved safety or environmental measures for work stations, equipment, or other operations in support of continuous improvement. Supports work station risk assessments and ergonomic assessments. Bachelor's degree required from an accredited institution (EHS related degree required) Must be authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of South Milwaukee, WI will be considered. Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910 Comprehension of industry, state, and country EHS&S requirements
