Our end‑to‑end manufacturing capability enables us to produce high‑quality switchgear on site, ensuring we meet customer needs at the right time and at the right cost. What you’ll do: To support the EHS Manager in ensuring EHS compliance requirements are met via standardised processes and procedures, and ad-hoc activities where required. Responsible for co-ordination of all EHS training initiatives across the site, working closely with H&S champions to ensure targets are met. • Collate EHS data to enable the production of reports, through the business EHS systems. • Assist in the investigation of H&S accidents/incidents/near misses and observations, identifying root cause, identifying actions plans and monitoring through to closure on the management systems. • Support preparation of risk assessments, COSHH assessments, work instructions identifying safety critical steps with Team Leaders and Supervisors and reviewing to look for opportunities to reduce risk and ensure data bases are kept up to date. • Co-ordinate EHS related training activities, including EHS champion training and development, refresher training such as powered industrial trucks and 1st aid. • Monitor and maintain process to enable implementation of emergency response, such as first aid and fire alarm requirements. • Attend EHS forums or workshops as required, take responsibility for elements of the business EHS management system and champion EHS. • Take an active role in environmental audits, carry out site environmental inspections and completes reports. • Ensure Environmental Management communications and assist in the investigation of Environmental incidents/accidents to determine root causes and prepare and implement corrective action plans. Qualifications: NEBOSH General Certificate, IOSH Managing Safely, Environmental qualification (preferably NEBOSH or equivalent) - Training agreement available 3 to 5 years working experience in an EHS supporting role, preferably in a manufacturing environment Skills: Exceptional IT knowledge and experience on Microsoft systems such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook.
