Opportunity The EHS Business Continuity Lead will support the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager for the North American division of Edged US Data Centers and play a critical role in protecting the resilience, safety, and operational continuity of Edged’s rapidly growing data center portfolio. This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing business continuity and operational resilience programs that ensure preparedness for disruptive events, including environmental incidents, safety events, infrastructure failures, and natural disasters. It is also responsible for supporting EHS policies and programs, including developing, coaching, training, and guiding stakeholders in EHS requirements and best practices. The role will partner closely with the Edged EHS Manager in growing various EHS programs at Edged Datacenters, and a strong background in Environment, Health, and Safety is crucial for this role. The EHS Business Continuity Lead must be agile, team focused, and detail-oriented with experience in business continuity, emergency preparedness, EHS, or risk management, who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments. The EHS Business Continuity Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with operations, facilities, IT, security, and leadership teams to ensure continuity planning is practical, integrated, and actionable. Key Responsibilities Include but are not limited to: Business Continuity and Resilience Program Management Develop, implement, and maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and Operational Resilience strategies for data center operations, in alignment with company risk tolerance and regulatory expectations. Conduct business impact analyses (BIAs) and risk assessments to identify critical functions, recovery priorities, and dependencies. Support the development and maintenance of emergency response, crisis management, and disaster recovery plans, in coordination with EHS, Operations, IT, and Security teams. Ensure continuity plans are practical, site-specific, and integrated with safety and environmental programs. EHS Integration and Emergency Preparedness Partner closely with the EHS Manager to align business continuity planning with environmental, health, safety, and emergency response programs, as well as other EHS programs. Support emergency preparedness activities, including drills, tabletop exercises, and after-action reviews for incidents such as fires, extreme weather, utility disruptions, environmental releases, or workplace emergencies. Support EHS programs and policies (Energy Isolation, Working at Heights, Material Handling, etc.) with subject matter expertise and field experience. Model, coach, and support Edged datacenter sites in EHS best practice implementation, Assist in incident response coordination and post-incident evaluations to identify lessons learned and improvement actions. Program and Project Management Manage EHS and business continuity-related projects from planning through execution, including timelines, deliverables, stakeholder engagement, and documentation. Track EHS program metrics, corrective actions, and improvement initiatives to drive continuous improvement. Tracks EHS program metrics to identify trends and recommend corrective or preventive actions through reports and trending. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, records, and reports related to business continuity and resilience activities. Support EHS program implementation, maintenance and development as necessary. Training, Testing and Awareness Develop and deliver training and awareness programs related to EHS, business continuity, emergency response, and operational resilience. Coordinate and facilitate BCP testing, exercises, and simulations, documenting results and driving corrective actions. Promote a culture of preparedness, risk awareness, and resilience across the organization. Stakeholder and Regulatory Support Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding continuity planning and preparedness. Support audits, assessments, and customer or partner inquiries related to EHS, business continuity and resilience. Stay current on industry standards, best practices, and emerging risks related to business continuity, EHS, and data center operations. Skills & Requirements Education / Experience Education Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field. Experience 5 years of experience in business continuity, emergency management, EHS, risk management, operations, or a related discipline. Experience supporting or managing business continuity programs, emergency preparedness, or resilience initiatives. Exposure to EHS programs, safety management systems, or environmental compliance in an industrial, infrastructure, or technical environment. Program or project management experience, including planning, execution, and stakeholder coordination. Specific Skills / Abilities Skills and Competencies Working knowledge of business continuity principles, business impact analysis, and emergency preparedness. Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail. Ability to analyze risk and translate it into clear, actionable plans. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including training and facilitation capabilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Proficiency with document management systems, tracking tools, and common productivity software. Preferred Qualifications Experience in data centers, technology, energy, utilities, manufacturing, oil and gas or critical infrastructure environments. Familiarity with standards or programs such as NIMS, NRF, or similar continuity and emergency management frameworks. EHS-related training or certifications (e.g., ASP, OHST, CSP, etc.) or progress toward certification. PMP, CAPM, or similar project management credentials (or progress toward certification).
