JOB SUMMARY

Lead the implementation of policies and procedures in environmental, health and safety regulations. Ensure compliance with regulations and procedures by carrying out and analyzing regular audits of the manufacturing facilities. Provide information and training in a variety of EHS areas relating to the business.

ACADEMIC/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Ergonomics, Applied Sciences, Engineering or a related field.Actively working towards C.R.S.T. or C.R.S.P. designation considered an asset.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • New graduate with prior co-op or internship experience.
  • Ability to understand applicable regulations to ensure that the company complies with legislation and develop effective mitigation and cost control strategies.
  • Fundamental knowledge and application of manufacturing-related environmental health and safety legislation and industry standards.
  • Develop cost-benefit analyses for a wide range of programs, such as health and safety training programs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is an asset.Undertake continuous learning to maintain current knowledge of all relevant acts and regulations.
