Description
Responsibilities: As an EHS Engineer, you can expect to be our go-to for driving continuous improvement in the employee safety process. Will leverage your technical ability to review operation processes and equipment designs to assess potential safety and health hazards to minimize employee injury. Perform analysis of energetic materials operations, related physical facilities, and safety, fire and health hazards they present. Your quick response brings immediate issue awareness to resolve and prevent issues. Plan, direct, and coordinate all employee health and safety activities to ensure “Safety First, Quality Every Time”. Program owners of assigned EHS Programs such as LOTO, Contractor Safety, PPE, Explosives Safety, etc. Conduct formal EHS audits of regulatory programs and work areas for the purpose of discovering and correcting unsafe conditions or unsafe work practices. Interfaces with personnel regarding Process Safety Management (PSM) hazard evaluations and control methods. Investigate any injuries, near misses or other safety event using root cause analysis. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications – External/internal: Knowledge and understanding of DoD Manual 4145.26m and OSHA 1910.109. Has current security clearance or able to obtain within 1 year of employment. 5 years’ experience as an environmental engineer, safety engineer, facility security officer, industrial/occupational hygienist. FSO, PE, CIH, CSP, CHMM or other appropriate registration preferred. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, Safety Engineering, security management, safety management, industrial hygiene, or appropriate technical field is preferred. Pay Range The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 73,100.00 - 135,700.00 Is this role subject to ITAR?
