We are excited to offer the role of Manager, Work Health and Safety (WHS).
Manage the facilitation of the Group Work Health and Safety Management System, Injury Management and Rehabilitation programs in our Braeside Manufacturing Site. This role will partner with Blackmore’s teams to assist in managing site rehabilitation and injury management activities, combined with work health and safety activities. Provide advice on technical and practical work health and safety advice, governance, injury management and rehabilitation. Ensure all governance and audits on work and occupational health and safety (W/OHS), injury management, and regulatory governance are met.
This role reports to a Director of Work Health and Safety and there is flexibility to work from home one day per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Partner with site leadership to develop and deploy site Safety Strategy.
  • Accountable for the monitoring and oversight of the WHSMS and associated tools, databases, documents and governance processes.
  • Partner with leadership teams to develop and implement a safety culture that aligns to the Blackmores values, including adequate development and training in safety critical roles and best practice initiatives
  • Develop WHS/injury management, wellness educational and compliance programs across Blackmores Group. Train, coach employees and managers in WHS systems and practices.
  • Accountable for the WHS review for Victorian, including change management and chemical risk assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation, injury management and rehabilitation.Strong knowledge of safety legislation and statutes (especially those relating to State and Federal), and ability to interpret any applicable statutes or legislation in relation to work/occupational health & safety, injury management / rehabilitation.
