JOB TITLE:  EHS Manager          LOCATION:  SPI Santiago   GENERAL DESCRIPTION OR PURPOSE OF JOB:   This role is responsible for leading and managing all health, safety and environmental programs and procedures to address risk and compliance topics of the company. The role provides strategic direction and hands on leadership to ensure regulatory compliance, assess EHS risks, develop injury prevention strategy, coordinate response for incidents and emergencies, and promote a strong culture of safety and environmental stewardship.  This includes oversight of compliance with applicable laws and regulations as well as company policies and partnering with all internal departments to make sure all procedures are followed to achieve this level of compliance. This role partners closely with plant leadership, department leaders, and Corporate EHS to drive continuous improvement in EHS programs.  The incumbent receives functional direction and guidance from the corporate Director of EHS/Risk Management.   RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:      EHS Leadership * Support development and implementation of a safety culture endorsed by plant leadership and Corporate EHS * Develop EHS strategy that aligns with corporate goals and includes objectives for plant safety and environmental programs * Define and implement best practices and documentation with regard to safety and environmental programs and incident prevention * Serve as site subject matter expert for safety and environmental matters and advisor to plant leadership * Lead and contribute to efforts to control risk, reduce occurrence of injury and environmental exposure * Lead and develop EHS staff (if applicable)   Safety Program Management * Develop and manage budget for site EHS as well as third party services such as industrial hygiene, audiometric, consulting, or other vendor services needed to ensure compliance and manage risks * Develop, implement and oversee policies and programs for EHS procedures and to meet regulatory requirements * Coordinate and participate in employee safety team * Implement and coordinate emergency response plans and response team * Develop incident reporting and investigation process and coordinate completion of root cause analysis following incidents * Participate in review of new equipment, chemicals or processes to ensure proper controls are in place * Conduct audits and assessments as needed to analyze risk and develop strategy to control and/or mitigate * Analyze data and trends to target areas for potential improvement regarding both safety and environmental issues, including KPI reporting for Corporate EHS Regulatory Compliance * Ensure operational compliance with OSHA & EPA regulations (or local standard if applicable), laws and policies, * Ensure accurate OSHA recordkeeping (300 / 300A / 301) * Manage environmental permits and licenses required reporting (Air, water, waste, stormwater, etc.) * Manage regulated waste collection, storage and disposal in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines. * Serve as primary liaison with regulatory agencies during inspections, with support from Corporate EHS and Legal as needed. Communication and Training * Create and deploy a plant wide EHS training plan  to meet regulatory standards and company policy * Communicate key safety and environmental information to employees through via postings, tool box talks, etc. to enhance safety engagement Other Duties * Participate with and support sustainability and social compliance efforts as needed * Coordinate insurance loss prevention duties as needed * Oversee physical security   JOB REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS:  Note that (i) computer literacy and working-level skill with the basic MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer), (ii) good verbal and written communication skills, (iii) good interpersonal skills, and (iv) the ability to work well both individually and in a team environment are default requirements for all Jostens exempt and salaried nonexempt employees.   Required: * Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Eng. * Bilingual English/Spanish * +3 years of experience as a EHS specialist * High proficiency in Microsoft Office * Knowledgeable about local law 522-06 Preferred: * Master’s degree in EHS * Knowledgeable about NFPA 101 code * Certified ISO 14001 Benefits: * Weekly Payment  * Law medical insurance and AFP * Complementary Medical Insurance * Life Insurance  * Internal Bank * Credit in pharmacy and optic center * Referral Program * Growth Opportunities About Jostens: Jostens leads the student commemoration market and has been serving local communities for over 125 years.
